No it does not and here is why. In Leviticus (where everyone referances to the subject matter) it says that any man who has sex with another man like a man has sex with a woman is wrong (of course they say it in a more lengthy and old-timey way). However, a man does not have a vagina, so therefore a man cannot have sex with another man the way a man would have sex with a woman. Any other quotes from the Bible explaining how homosexuality is wrong? Because that was just shoved in the trash! (i'm feelin a little fiesty today so don't get too mad if I insult your religion muwahaha)

This question was towards Christians (though other comments are fine). FYI
For the people that asked where the bible IMPLIES (but does not state) that homosexuality is wrong: Leviticus (I am having trouble finding where but it is and I am pressed for time, but it is in 2 parts).
For the people that say you can't take it to be literal (that they knew men didn't have vaginas) and I am stretching my arguement: Then I guess you can't take that God is omnipotent literally. You can't just say that one part of the Bible can or cannot be taken literally and that another can be. This is against the Christian religion (that the whole Bible is correct) and means that you pick-and-choose what to take of as true in your own religious book. Not only that, but it only says in the Old Testament that homosexuality is wrong. It also says that eating pigs is unclean and a sin (is wrong). So if you are Christian you better not eat pig products or you are going to hell right with us "homos".

Actually the implication in Leviticus is an admonishment of homosexual sex, HOWEVER, it is important to note that Leviticus is NOT the word of God nor is it the law of GOD. Leviticus is a book of laws written by and for the administration of Judaic life. The Bible (Aramaic, Hebrew, Latin not English) is specific in stating that the book is Civil Law, not divine. As such, it cannot and should not be used to condemn homosexuality.
Now, are there other parts of the Bible that do condemn, Yes, BUT, again, NONE of these admonishments is from either God or Jesus (in fact, Christ never said a word on the subject). Corinthians and Romans which are the other two passages widely used to condemn are letters written by men. The passages themselves do not credit nor declare openly that they are the word of God, but in fact clearly state they are written as introductory letters to potential converts.
The truth is, the Bibles' condemnation of homosexuality is sparse at best and suspect at worst. Truth is, thousands of years writing and re-writing and translation upon translation, makes any declaration against homosexuality at best, simply bias on the part of the writers. Even the ten commandments say NOTHING of homosexuality. At this point, usually, someone states adultery, well, if gays were allowed to marry, there be any would there?
Cheers from Gay Friendly Canada.
UPDATE: Can anyone tell me how so called Christians who CLAIM to have read the Bible, make some of the statements I am seeing. Try actually reading AND understanding it before using it to condemn others.

Frankly the bible can say just about anyting you want it to.
The big problem I have with the bible is with the god of abraham - this is a vengeful and brutal god. The number of times people are instructed to slaughter innocent people in the name of god or prayers are offerered for help to overcome enemies.
The promised land was occupied by the Cannanites when the israelites came to occupy it - and they slaughtered many in the process - It happens that there were differerent cultural practices and many of the rules written down in Deuteromomy etc were to prevent local practices being adopted.
Often one custom determines that another cultures practices are unacceptable and so make laws to prevent them - the bible is a book related primarily to the practices of jews in palestine 2000 years ago - I have no desire to live by the present codes people from that part of the world let alone live the way they did 2000 years ago. Their god is Yahweh the god of war - and it seems that they are still living by those rules - everywhere abrahamic laws are in place someone will be on the receiving end of particualry brutal violence.
Homosexuality is about love - not sex - it is about two people loving each other - perhaps that is why religions have no room for it - they are too busy creating rules to allow themselves to kill people

Actually you are on to the right path but you fell off of it just short of where it makes a difference. The Leviticus passages are open to interpretation as to weather we are to be bound by them or not. But the act in question was penetration and that meant anal sex. The reason for this is because in the desert it was hard to bath regularly and it was often fatal to get an infection. Anal sex is the leading vector for the spread of disease. This was why a man was not to have sex with his wife while she menstruated and also why if he masturbated a man was thought to be unclean for a day.

people point out the Sodom myth in genesis but the dictionary pure fact definition of sodomy is any sexual act that is not meant for procreation. so that means oral sex between a man and woman is out etc etc. so before all the heterosexuals get all angry about the gays they should stop and think about their own sexual behaviour cos any time you jack each other off or whatever be very careful cos you could end up committing the sin of sodomy. also the bible says man shall not lie with man as he does with woman - surely that condemning bi-bisexuals. what if a gay guy has never lay with a chick ?? does that mean he's OK? but really does it matter since their is no heaven or hell just enjoy your life. seriously people as long as what you do is with another perspn who really want to do it have at it. just dont rape or force people to me thats when its a crime making somebody do something they hate

Don't go twisting the word. You'll have to answer for it. Yes the Bible does say that any man who LAYS with a man the way he LAYS with a woman has committed an abomination. Of course, you cannot have sex with a man like a woman. The term 'lays with a man as he lays with a woman' simply means have sex with a man. If you really want to see what it means, get an National Children's Version of the Bible. It is much more broken down than the King James Version. There can be no twisting of facts when you read it. And, another thing. Try not to read specific verses of the Bible. Read the whole thing. Everything will be much clearer if you look at it as a whole, not as three lines.

Sorry to burst your bubble but being Gay is a sin. If you actually knew the bible like you think you do you would know that leviticus is not the only book that talks about homosexuality SORRY!!!
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV): "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
Homosexuality is also referred to as the sin of sodomy. This reference comes from an account in the Bible of two exceedingly wicked cities, Sodom and Gomorrah, which the Lord destroyed. Sodom was known for its rampant homosexuality and unrestrained sexual lust, as well as other sins such as arrogance, haughtiness, and disregard for the poor. When the Lord sent angels to warn Lot who lived in the city that it was about to be destroyed, the men of the city actually wanted to rape the angels! Genesis 13:13: "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly."

First of all the bible is all in how you interpret it. In Judiasm, we believe that male homosexuality is not ok, but lesbianism is. It says nothing in the bible about 2 women laying together, but it does of 2 men. Not that I agree with that, but that is what it says.

What person in their right mind would care what the Bible says...the Bible SAYS nothing...it is a bunch of written interpretations of old scrolls that have little to do with reality. IT isn't even good reading.

We think the cross to bear is not for those who are gay, but those who believe in crosses in the first place.
