I have a wedding to go to, not a formal one, but casual dress. I bought a really cute brown dress yesterday that's about mid calf length. I don't do dresses often, I'm more of a shirt and pants kinda gal. Even when I dress up. So I'm not sure if I should buy some boots for the dress or maybe a cute pump. Any suggestions? The dress has a v-cut neck line, a very small sleeve and kinda flows a little bit.

I'd go with a pump/heel.

If your dress was a bit shorter, like if the hemline hit at your knees, then I'd definitely say boots!

Longer skirts hide you legs, however there is no real rule regarding short/long skirts or dresses with shoes. It would just look better.

i say get heels over 3" try a gold color or bronze would look great . make sure its open toed because the way you described the dress it would look perfect with an open toed heel. not a pump because it will look to thick and not a boot because it will hide the rest of your legs and you want that to show. ok hope i helped. hope you have fun

I think the pumps or a wedge would look better than boots.

u should really consider doing some cute shoes because u sed the dress flows to ur body-which would make it look more feminine and boots would make it look bulky to me.

hard to say without knowing your frame.
i would suggest you get heels.
since you ask about boots, i would think about the weather, the look you seek to achieve and if you would wear boots or pumps again.
so, choice number one, brown pumps,
two, brown boots.
good luck.
