There is still a lot of baseball to be played before we get to that point.
The Mets have to get passed the Dodgers, whom, I think have the pitching to go after the powerful Mets lineup. I think this series should be one of the more exciting ones of the play-offs.
The Yankees on the other hand, have to get passed a limping Detroit team. Not that I'm saying they'll blow passed the Tigers. Jim Leyland is a great manager with great pitching. But, with the line-up the Bombers are putting up,I'm not really sure if there is really a team out there that has enough pitching to shut them down. Before Leriano of the Twins got hurt, I would have thought differently.
Either way, I think it's going to be a great play-off season. Hell, I even took my vacation so I could watch every pitch possible.......lol

I would have said the Mets in July but since they got Abreu the Yankees are the better team...and now that the Mets don't have Pedro the Met's chances are slim

Lets go Mets!!!! But being the bastard children of the city, all the band wagon jumpers will say the Yankees until they are about to be eliminated then they will swear they have been Met fans all along.

It looks more and more like you're right. As a Phillies fan I have to root for the National League so I'm pulling for the Mets in the one.
