My mother died two weeks ago. My father has alot of debts hanging over his head. When he dies, can i be held liable for his remaining debts. He has only a $5000 life insurance policy and is too old to take out another policy. I just want to make sure that the collectors cannot come after me and wipe me out financially for the debts he has accumulated.

I am considering starting up my own business, here is the idea.........................
Buy a flat and make it 'autism friendly' and then provide respite care here, and go on outings if the child is comfortable with this.
I have experience in respite work, and love working with kids with autism

.I am currently on a 3yr uni course, so have a while to think about what to do, but would kinda like a 'game plan'.

What do you think? i would be gratful for any ideas.
Also if you have a child with autism would you consider this type of respite programe?

Thank you

Can I just put it in the washer w/some bleach and soap? It's clear (the curtain itself is white) and it's getting kind of moldy and mildewy. Is there a safe way to clean it? I already sprayed some Lysol on it. I tried to wipe it down and it didn't work. This kind of relates to one of my earlier questions. Thanks for the good advice, and thanks for not laughing at my stupid questions. :)

What is your opinion about a Psychology instructor (does not have his PhD yet) who teaches that homosexuality is more about nurture than nature, acknowledges it is a personal opinion, but then fails to note the APA's opposite stance that homosexuality is not a choice? I am disturbed by the insertion of personal opinion, most likely based on religious beliefs from the gist of the class discussion, into a basic Psychology 101 class. Thoughts from anyone?

My boyfriend ended things with me on sunday(he's in the army) and i didn't break down or anything.

i hear and see all these females that just lose it when things end but nothing like that happend to me.

Him and i are going to still be friends.

is it because people are all different? my one friend told me that i was one of the strongest persons she's seen. because she would have been bawling her eyes out.

but i have this calmness over me. I relized that the army is his top priority and he shouldn't have to worry about a girlfriend. and maybe being friends will bring us closer again...and maybe pick up after he's done with the army. and i'm still going to support him 110%.

I would like to know in Pagan or Native ways the meaning of this. On two totally separate occasions a week apart. I have seen a Monarch butterfly on the ground on my daily walks. He always is struggling and will go on my finger/hand if I present it to him. I have a "idea" what this could mean but would like to see if anyone has any other insightful or similar answers.

I understand that having a child in wedlock is the ideal situation but it just doesn't always happen that way. I had my son eight months ago and since having him my life has only gotten better. I am not with his father but the man I am with loves him like his own. I started online schooling and I no longer live at home. People who say that you will never become anything in life after having a baby out of wedlock don't really know people who improve their lives for the child's benefit. I can say without a doubt if I had not had my son I would not be on the road to where I am today. For those of you who are wondering I am 24 years old.

Today two men hijacked a turkish plane in protest to the Pope's recent quotation stating that Islam uses the sword to resolve its problems as well as to make converts. Isn't it ironic the reaction still going on all because of one quote taken out of context.

Why does/doesn't the NFL punish players for off-field activities?
What off-field happenings are suspendable and what are not due to the collective bargaining agreement.
(ie: drunk driving, beat a cop, beat a wife, drugs)
