I was just laying there, about to turn over. (not even stretching)After that, it flares up at odd times, and it makes it hard to walk up and down stairs, other places.

Pain in the joints could be due to various reasons. Well there are hot/cold patches you can get for your knee. Try both but if they dont work go see a doctor to make sure you did not tear something. Hope you get well soon!

You may have torn cartilage. See a doctor.
