I have this migrane and it is killing me. I have been getting them for about 20 years now and I have tried everything. But tonight it is really bad and I want it gone by tomorrow. Please help.

Most of my migranes are caused through Stress and due to the monthlies. I do wear Glasses and they have been just checked so they are fine. Like I said before i have had these for the last 20 years and nothing seems to be working anymore. I have had over 8 tablets today and have tried to be in a darken room. can anybody suggest what else i can do. believe me i have tried almost anything but it still is with me.

My dad often gets really bad migraines. He often finds that it is best to put a cold cloth on his forehead and lie down until it is over. You can also get special face masks that you put in the freezer to cool and when you have a migraine you then apply it and it will soothe the affected area.

Uh..I feel for you. Get those on a frequent basis. Caffeine helps, but for a quicker fix, try Excedrine Migraine, and some sleep. Most migranes are eye strain related, and a dark room and silence work wonders. It doesn't hurt to take 3 pills instead of the normal 2 with Excedrine when they get really bad.
You might consider talking this over with your doctor when you get the chance, some of the perscriptions they can give will work. Though they will want to give you a full work up to make sure there isn't something else going on.
Don't use anything that smells strongly, and a cold rag on your temples really helps as well.
Good luck.

Finally someone who can understand me!!! I keep getting migranes that won't go away either! I try 2 Excedrine (any type they pretty much all have the same ingredients) with 3 Advil. Then just go lay down for a while. I've talked to the Pharmacist and they said that this particular drug concoction is actually okay to take. Another thing that sometimes works is getting to bed early with some sort of sleep aid. Mine's prescription, but there's Excedrine PM, OTC sleep aids, and Melatonin which is herbal but will help you sleep. If they figure out what it is causing your headaches let me know! Best of luck!!!

What works for me is:
(1) Take a double dose of Excedrin Migraine Formula.
(2) Get in the shower, and turn up the water as hot as you can stand it.
(3) Sit down on the bottom of the tub and just let the water come down on your head.
(4) Stay there until you can feel the hot water has almost completely run out.
You have my sympathies....

Drink alot of caffiene. Exedrin migrane is good too. On the back of your head, there is a bone before you get to the nape area. There is a indentaion in the lower middle back of your head. Have someone stand behind you and apply pressure to the protruding parts on either side of the indentation. This is a pressure point. Apply pressure for about25 sec , let go then do it again. Repeat as neccessary. **** luck!

This will be a long term help. First, you need to keep a diary of everything you eat and drink. Also include any household cleaning agent used. Then look for a pattern. Is there something you eat/drink/use that triggers this migraine? Otherwise, you may need glasses or new glasses. Good luck.

i had a migrane yesterday. I felt like I was light headed and that a saw sawing my head off. But I like to paint alot with oils, so I put that into consideration. It turned out to be the fumes from the oil base that made my head hurt. I took walks, laid down, put the paintings in another room and I was fine.

All i can think is laying down relaxing for a bit, nothing to provoke it more. Try taking some tylenol if you can. Drink lots of water. Ultimatly just try and not to do too much to stress the body out, like i said before relaxing and drinking water always works for me. And the tylenol as well. I hope you feel better!

This is going to sound dumb, but try Ginger snaps...the cookies. I used to get migraines that would put me in bed for days, but for some bizarre reason the ginger snaps cured them like nothing else. Taking double doses of any medication is not wise. They can do serious damage to other parts of your body like liver or kidneys. Take two Snaps and a nap. Hopefully that will help.

Have had them for 30 years. Have you tried Zomig or Imitrex. They are miracle drugs. Drink something with a lot of caffeine. Sometimes that helps.
