the idea behind a worm hole is that you take two black holes, each one punches a hole through the "fabric" of space by the incredible gravitational forces, if you could or if by chance these two holes punched through space (called a singularity) were connected to each other that you could travel through one black hole and come out the other side.
I'm not versed in quantum physics, so I yield to the experts that it's theoretically possible for a worm hole to exist but in my opinion travelling through one is just not possible. Even if you have a worm hole you haven't eliminated the problem of entering (let alone even approaching) a black hole, the smallest of which still have enough gravity to destroy anything with less mass than itself, including entire solar systems. Just doesn't work.
Since you said be thorough and I'm bored at work I'll go on a bit. Even approaching a small black hole would prove fatal, to explain why you have to understand something about gravity: the farther an object is from a center of gravity (black hole, planet Earth, etc) the weaker the gravitational force on the object. So while standing up here on Earth, my head is farther away from the center of Earth's gravity than my feet - my feet are actually being pulled down harder than my head is so my body is being ever so slightly stretched by Earth's gravity. We never notice this because Earth isn't very massive and it's gravity isn't very strong. But the gravity of a black hole is so mind bogglingly powerful that the difference in pull between one end of your body and the other is enough to rip you apart, stretch you out like spaghetti, astronomers actually use the term "spaghettification" to describe the phenomenon. You can't even get close to a black hole, so you can't enter one, and you certainly cannot exit one.

First of all, don't pay any attention to answers you'll be getting that tell you worm holes are the means to travel faster than light. They are NOT.
Worm holes are strictly theoretical (..no such thing has ever been observed) They show up in some solutions to Einstein's field equations, and require some special kind of negative force. A set of worm holes would be a short cut between two distant places in our universe, or even into other dimensions.

I consider they are a concept, computer virus holes are shortcuts via the material of house-time, I consider with adequate energy and skills it may be created, regardless that it is supposedly not possible to inform in which you'll be able to become; so I do not intend to go into one every time quickly, I do not desire to be on the centre of Betelgeuse (Red Giant Sun) on the age of 9. But that is the opinion of an insignificant 9 12 months historical.

Worm holes are those little tiny, less than a micro meter across, passages, inside your head, left by those tiney tiny worm guys that eat the smart out of your brain.

generally speaking, worm holes are created by worms crawling in semi-solid gravel or soil which leaves behind a tunnel like evironment.....more affectionately known as a worm hole.
