Anyone can get sick. From colds and flus to cancers and auto-immune diseases, anyone can get them.

underweight people are prone to illness because their immune systems are weak.

Obese people are more prone to heart diseases like high blood pressure and heart attacks. They are also more prone to injuries in their joints due to the fact that their skeletal structure is not allowed to be held in it's appropriate position - legs and arms are splayed out sideways, forcing joints to support too much weight in a non-optimal position.

many communicable diseases like cold , cough, etc.,does not depend whether that person is fat or slim. but certain diseases like heart attacks, strokes, arthritis etc., depend upon the person's weight.so it does not mean that only fat persons get diseases or vice versa!

I have a fat side to the family and a very thin side. On both sides mother and father

Each side has died of diseases. Just different ones.

You do not have to be fat to be hypertensive or diabetic. and you do not have to be thin to get cancer or have a Stroke.
