i am 38 weeks and had my regular OB check up a few days ago. she told me i am 50% effaced, 0 cm, and that my cervix is thin and posterior. what does this mean? does this mean i'm about to give birth? or will i wait for a few more days? or does this mean i will have a difficult labor? also, do you have tips on how to handle labor pains?any guess when i will give birth?thanks.sorry for the many questions but i know pregnant ladies understand...

I have the memory card supplied with the camera but it only stores 8 pictures!! Ideally I would like one that can store upto approx. 30. Also, are they expensive?

A vampire bat came flapping in from the night, covered in fresh blood, and parked himself on the roof of the cave to get some sleep.

Pretty soon all the other bats smelled the blood and began hassling him about where he got it.

He told them to go away and let him get some sleep.

However, the bats persisted until finally he gave in.

"OK, follow me," he said, and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him.

Down through a valley they went, across a river and into a forest full of trees.

Finally he slowed down and all the other bats excitedly milled around him.

"Now, do you see that tree over there?" he asked.

"Yes, yes, yes!" the bats all screamed in a hungry frenzy.

"Good," said the first bat tiredly, "Because I didn't!"

A friend of my family asked me to come over to her house for dinner next weekend. She specifically said we would have a fancy dinner and that she would be in a dress and pantyhose and that I should be dressed accordingly. She knows I have always had an attraction to pantyhose (she caught me once witha pair when I was young), so I don't think it's a coincidence. And, she has never asked me to have dinner with her alone. I am in my twenties and she is much older. I recently started seeing someone and though we are not officially bf/gf I think this would be a problem. But, if I am wrong and I said no to dinner because I thought she was trying to seduce me, I might be wrong and then feel stupid....plus, I am a little turned on by the whole thing. Need some advice.

We live in an apartment styled dorm with two other guys in the other bed room. We've all lived with each other for two years. There is a guy who wants to move in with us. We don't know him, except that he wants to move onto campus. Unlike most times, we are given the choice of letting him live with us, or having him live somewhere else. My question is, since it seems like they have other places they can put him, should we just say no, or should we cram 3 guys into one room?

Could their be a massive meteor hiding in the current meter shower lasting until Oct. 20th ? I'm just sick and tired of white people not getting any of the credit we deserve. Was there slavery? Yes there was because villages in Africa sold their own people. White people founded and built this country and I am sick of everyone deomonizing us. I think that we are discriminted against now and I think it's wrong. I don't think that blacks should have special rights just because they're black and I think that you know other people need to stand up and say, I'm proud to be white, why is that wrong? Aren't you proud of who you are?

I have tried to make a friend who is the opposite sex at work. It has been fairly one-sided. I believe it to be that way because their is a significant age difference and a difference in culture. It appears to me that I always intiate the conversation and iniate going out to eat. This person has not had any stability in their life and trying to be a good 'solid' friend in hopes that it will benefit to them. Now... this person has left the company to take care of a family member back in there hometown. Before the left they notified me they are leaving but didn't say what the new company was or what the new position was. I believe it was to encourage me to ask them about the new job. I did not respond. Recently I received a text message. Since it was international I didn't know it was sent because I never recieved it (int'l text is unrelaible) Do I respond by saying I checked my cell bill and notice I received a text from your number? I never got it. What did it say?

to get it. And I usually do get what I want, whether it be material items, technological gizmos, girlfriends, friends, my own way and I make the other people think it was their idea. When I feel that something is unfair, like when a store won't refund or replace a faulty product, i dig my heels in and create a scene until they eventaully give in. I always fight my own battles and don't let people walk all over me and I speak my own mind. However, I am a truly nice person and I would do anything for my friends and family.

I discovered it this weekend at the studion. After I finished recording, I wanted to sit there all night and listen to the band make art. It was better than watching a live band. I didn't ever want to leave.

But I can never find my peace while DOING something. I always find it in the finished product. Like when I'm building something, I'm usually cursing and throwing stuff at the wall, but when I'm finished, I'm in utopia just looking at my work.

I really used to find peace building with Legos when I was a kid or drawing when I was in highschool. i can't find that anymore. where do YOU go? What do YOU do?
