I discovered it this weekend at the studion. After I finished recording, I wanted to sit there all night and listen to the band make art. It was better than watching a live band. I didn't ever want to leave.

But I can never find my peace while DOING something. I always find it in the finished product. Like when I'm building something, I'm usually cursing and throwing stuff at the wall, but when I'm finished, I'm in utopia just looking at my work.

I really used to find peace building with Legos when I was a kid or drawing when I was in highschool. i can't find that anymore. where do YOU go? What do YOU do?

It is so hard to find my happy place at my house. My house is so small and usually every room is occupied. I usually sit up after every one has gone to bed and have my happy, quiet time. What I usually do is get online and go to Answers and answer questions like I'm doing now. I find this is relaxing and takes away the pressures of the day. It is so hard for me to try to do
anything during the day. My time is spent picking up after others, cooking and cleaning for them and taking care of their needs while mine is put on the back burner. I wouldn't have it any other way, though, even though it can be aggravating at times.

I go anywhere up high. On top of a building, climbing onto a roof, hiking to the top of a hill. Anywhere where I can look down at everything panning out below me. I am so free up above everything. Sometimes there is the danger of falling--that is ok too.
Rarely do people bother to look up, so I can be in the busiest city, looking down from the top of a parking garage and its as if I don't exist. I can just watch, and breathe and see everything.
While I am up there, I make paper airplanes, and send them out below me. Sometimes I write a little about me on them, in hopes someone would look up. Somtimes I just watch them fade into the distance. :)

Working on my Crafts does help to relax me and put me in a good frame of mind . I feel in touch and vital when I am creating .

However the best place for me to go is into meditation ,or listening to calming tapes that allow you to float down a slow moving river alone just enjoying nature and completely letting go of any stress .

The only peaceful place to get away for about 15 minutes is my shower thats where i can turn my music on and sing and dance..Then get back out to the world where there is my kids.
But my favorite peacemaker is writing poetry, i was once in counceling for being raped and i was told to write down my thoughts. So therefore i write in journals and i write poetry

I've always been big on forests and the ocean. Just close my eyes and listen to the birds and breathe the fresh air. Ahh.

I snuggle on the couch with a book, or I will sit with my CD collection and listen to only the songs I want to hear.

My happy place is in between my legs. I usually find it when I am touching myself. I feel pretty peaceful afterwards!
