Just curious. I've lived in Ohio all my life. Columbus, Ohio to be exact. I just want to know what people love about our state. Everyone that moves here either love it or hate it. I personally love it, and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. There is one thing I don't understand, why don't we have pro teams. No pro baseball, football etc....what gives? Would pro teams not survive here? And why?

Hi my name is Lauren, and I am a Beauty Therapist. Not too long ago I worked in a Salon where there was a woman who rented a room in the Salon to do Footspa Detox treatments. She was told not to come back one day due to my boss reading about this so called 'Footspa Detox scam' on the internet. The way this works is, the client puts his/her feet into the foot spa, salt is added to the water and then supposidly body toxins/waste discreet from the pores of the feet turning the water a dirty brown colour. In the middle of the Footspa is a black low voltage/amperage AC to DC transformer attached to ferrous electrodes, I read that this and the salt react forming a rusty colour, in which this is the cause of the water turning a dirty brown colour. I recently started at another salon and she has joined too! claiming she had treated cancer patients using this metod of detox, this really made me angry as I think she is using cancer to big up her little scam. What do you think?

This is specifically for catholics, since the person in question is catholic and obeys those laws.

I once knew someone who got married. Not long after - it may have been a matter of months - she went back to her maiden name. As I got to know her a little better, and met others who knew her, it became clear that her marriage was in name only. I'm quite sure that not only were they not having sex, but that she was only staying in the marriage because catholics do not allow divorce.

My question is - what could be so awful that you would cut yourself off from your husband emotionally (and in name), but not so bad that it wouldn't be grounds for an annulment?

I cannot believe that she wouldn't go for an annulment if she could.

I can't ask her because a) it's too personal for a casual acquaintance and b) we're no longer in touch. I'm just idly curious.

Yesterday after the meeting at the U.N. when most of the world leaders thought the mics were turned off they all held hands in a big circle WITH BUSH AND AHMEDINEJAD side by said. I have been with my fiance for a few years and engaged for 1. He is the love of my life, but he has so many serious faults i cannot stay with him. He has a tendacy to lie, expects the whole world to do him a favour and has really bad temper tantrums (he is 28) where he acts like a child. i know he loves me, but it isn't enough. despite his excellent and costly education, i have come to the conclusion he is not very bright, but insists on arguing points and acting very arrogant, on top of being generally quite lazy and relying on me to do the housework adn generate most of the money. despite this i love him madly, how do i do what i know is best for me? Then how do i get over it?

I have a 4 year old who talks pretty slushy. He is in a preschool with an IEP teacher and Speech therapy. He was 10 1/2 weeks premature. Well my son had a special education teacher and now has been moved to a regular class (switching of schools) he also will receive less speech therapy at his new school and I try at home but am looking for more ideas.

I can listen to songs with lyrics while I'm exercising because I find myself trying to hum the lyrics and it just makes me lose more breath. Even with lyricless songs, if they don't have a fast beat, I find myself trying to run along to the beat, and it just makes me run slower. I like "Played-A-Live" by Safri Duo, and "Sandstorm" by Darude. Any other good ones?
