you can't polish concrete but you could put something on it that will make it shine it's called cirene it's a concrete sealer that has some shine when do 2 or 3 coats it comes from buckeye i don't know where you live but go to this address www.buckeyeinternational.com i used it and it works they do not sell retail but you could figure out how to get it good luck

I'm hoping you mean seal it? I've never heard of polishing concrete or cement. Polish means to rub to create a shine, and neither concrete or cement shines.

I know exactly what you mean, I've seen several cofee houses and modern/ contemporary houses with that type of flooring, it's very chic. I asked my brother in law and he said it's some type of acid the concrete layers have as an option. Ask them, since doing it yourself could get dangerous.

We used a clear sealer on our patio blocks and they looked really good. With our winters it doesn't last too long so every other year it has to be done again.
