Just curious. I've lived in Ohio all my life. Columbus, Ohio to be exact. I just want to know what people love about our state. Everyone that moves here either love it or hate it. I personally love it, and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. There is one thing I don't understand, why don't we have pro teams. No pro baseball, football etc....what gives? Would pro teams not survive here? And why?

I like it alright. I live in Cincinnati and I used to complain about having nothing to do but you have to find things to do and when you do it is fun, I don't care for the winter weather, but I love the summer, and I love the Bengals. I have been to Columbus briefly so I can't really say anything about that town. I like Cleveland always have a pretty nice time there, and Sandusky is nice also

Most people love their own state, I live in Texas and to me there is no better state. I have worked for a couple of different companies based in Ohio and have spent a lot of time there. I hate driving the roads because I am a truck driver and trucks can only go 55 while other vehicles can go 70. That is a recipe for disaster. The cities are ok though.

I live in the Dayton, Ohio area. I have lived in Ohio all my life also, and I think Ohio is great. What do you mean there are no pro teams? We have the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. Columbus has that hockey team also.
Ohio is not too hot most of the time, and not too cold most of the time either. No earthquakes, hurricanes, or volacanos to worry about typically, and tornados have never caused me any trouble either, they don't seem to come around too often. I have never been mugged anywhere in Ohio, and everything just seems generally good. I dig it.

O·hi·o (ō-hī'ō) pronunciation (Abbr. OH or O.)
A state of the north-central United States in the Great Lakes region. It was admitted as the 17th state in 1803. In prehistoric times Mound Builders inhabited the region, which was first explored by La Salle in 1669. The French-British rivalry for control of the area led to the last of the French and Indian Wars (1754–1763), in which the French were defeated. Ohio was part of the vast area ceded to the United States by the Treaty of Paris in 1783 and became part of the Old Northwest by the Ordinance of 1787. It became a separate territory in 1799. Columbus is the capital and Cleveland the largest city. Population: 11,400,000.

well, i've lived in ohio all my life as well. from cleveland, went to school in cinci, and i also live in columbus. i guess for me, i want to see more of what's out there. i've visited both east and west coast, and i love it out there. but i can also understand why people love columbus. in terms of pro teams, we have the bluejackets, but it is also about fanbase, if our city can support a team. will we have enough people attending the games, because not even the clippers can sell out games. because with cleveland and cinci already owning football and baseball franchises, you don't want to jeopardize those cities fanbase as well. that's already occurring with baltimore and dc teams.

Just to clear one thing up, we do have Pro teams, yes, most suck but the Indians at least are trying and doing well.

I lived in Westerville for about a year and loved the weather. I really only saw Columbus, no other major cities, and it was ok.
