Any part of USA, and how long would it take to drive??? (what route would you take?) to a heavily snowed mountain area? The more detail the better.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and it's 2-3 hours to get to the mountains with the snow.

It is a 90 minute drive from the beach to the mountains in Southern California

Las Vegas to the Lee Canyon Ski resort is about 45 mins, we get about 6 meter of base snow. It's a really good cheap place to ski.

If not try Big Bear in California or Brianhead in Utah!

I live in Big Bear Lake, CA. It is a ski resort high in the mountains (7000 ft). It is about a 2 hour drive from the LA area.

California is mostly a warm state, but its Sierra Nevada gets alot of snow in the winter.

If you can go to the big island of Hawaii, you'd only have to drive a few minutes.....beach to snow in a flash.
