This is not for me...for a friend...I have my own employment questions I have posted & will be posting later...so please don't be confused by them.
He's going to see HR today & would like to negotiate a higher pay rate. How should he go about doing that...what's the "normal" increase from temporary to permanent?

PS*** I asked this yesterday, and I think peole thought he meant he was on his probation period already hired with the job. He is NOT. He is working as a temporary, getting hired on.

I have been doing laundry for a family with 3 boys and 2 girls and have noticed all the males in the family have skid marks in the underwear. Is this unusual? I haven't encountered this before myself.

I always used to think that all that stuff was a bunch of crap, but in the past 4 years I really do believe there is ghosts. It started when I moved in my apartment. I stay because nothing bad has ever happened and my kids never talk about seeing anything. It is really freaky at times. They move stuff around on me (not physically right in front of my eyes), and I hear whispering sometimes when it is really quiet. One time I felt something brush against my leg when I was sitting down. I also received a phone message on my answering machine that sounded like someone whispering and saying I've made it. I had to replay it a million times to understand what it was saying but, that was one of the freakiest things. They also come in spurts. Like I could experience several things in one month, and then nothing for 6 months or longer. Have you had any ghostly encounters? Do you believe?

When we got our tests back last Monday one of my answers was marked wrong. She had put a note out to the side of it saying I should have capitolized my 4's. What does this mean? I didn't even know you could capitolize numbers? She didn't explain further...

evening I've found it with the tape compartment raised up but the little door didn't open up so the tape is stuck in. It doesn't do anything now apart from being able to switch on and I cannot make the compartment going back to its normal position. Any ideas? I'd be very grateful and thank you very much in advance!

I understand that the cheque is used as a gauge. Presumably, the more the bill is, the more work the server did bringing it to the table. Why can’t I just leave a $2.00, $5.00 or $10.00 tip and be done with it?

People, wake up, can't you see what Muslims & Islams is doing? If someone says anything about their religion or their Prophet, they are ready to kill you, yet they have the freedom to call ALL non-Muslims & Islams, they call us INFIDELS. And the world thinks that they have the right to say that.
