Your math teacher sounds like a moron. If your grade bothers you, have your parents talk to the guidance counselor.
You can't capitalize numbers. That's just idiotic! I had a math teacher tell me once that a 100 homework grade, a 100 quiz grade and a 72 test grade equaled a 68 average grade. I fought him on it. That's almost an A and it was the only A I ever had in high school math with that teacher!

the reason why she's asking you to capitalise your 4's is because to her it didnt look like 4's. once a teacher sees that your answer is not clearly written, they mark you down for it. what you need to do is go back to speak with her and demand that she mark it right, and if she tells otherwise, make a formal complaint because there's nothing worse than having a teacher mark you wrong for something that was right.
