My instructions are, "Write a paper on the harships of 'freedmen' from the period of Reconstruction to the mid 20th century, focusing on American society and its problems."
First, I'd like to know what "freedmen" are (I think they are the freed slaves but I'm not sure) and what the "Reconstruction is"
Can you tell me some hardships they faced?
Also for a best answer please suggest any clever names for the paper relating to the subject

I love riding and am considering taking the financial plunge and buy a good starter road bike. My budget at this point is $1,000.00 dollars US. I currently use a $100.00 mountain bike for about a 3 mile commute to work, but really like riding and would like to expand my experiences. As a part B to this question, should I look into what I would consider a more durable bike like a mountain bike rather than a traditional ten-speed style since I live in an urban environment and do not always have ideal riding conditions?

long story, she hit me and she had no ins.Mine is taling care of it but body shop has did 5G's already on it and now they say the frame is (Diamond) and can't be repaired needs new frame,but that will but it over 10G's.98, 2.5, automatic, oversized wheels, 4 in. lift,and tube bumbers.Checked Blue Book $8,500.00.Was told buy body man to find something comparable and ins. would have to do it as a trade out due to being totaled.anyone have an answer.Already found one 98 5 spped 2.5 110,000 new motor with15,000 miles.looks exactly like my jeep now but this one is $10,000.00

I do not "binge" drink or even drink every day. Is it wrong/unhealthy to get drunk once in a while? I enjoy the euphoric effects of alcohol - is this something to be ashamed of? What's wrong with feeling "buzzed?" I literally sit on my couch, watch football and get drunk, so there is no problem with driving, fighting or anything silly like that. I just like the feeling! So what's wrong with it?

This is known as the Problem of Evil (also known as theodicy), and I think that it is one of the biggest problems for those attempting to prove the existence of the Christian god. How can anybody explain the existence of a loving, all-powerful god, while also knowing the bad things that happen to all of us and the terrible things that happen to far too many?
The ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus summed it up well when he wrote these ideas:

Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can and does not want to.
If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent.
If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked.
If, as they say, God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?
And yet the idea of an all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-good god with free will won’t go away. So, here we are discussing this subject again. It’s good to remember that there have been over 2500 gods created by humankind. Monotheists don’t believe in all but one of them. Atheists don’t believe in just one more.
In fact, the existence of honest and kind Atheists is another proof that the Christian god, who demands belief, doesn’t exist. If this all-good god existed, it would want everybody to be saved — even Atheists. If this all-knowing god existed, it would know that Atheists just want real proof of its existence. If this god were all-powerful it would be able to give unambiguous proof of its existence. It hasn’t. Therefore this god doesn’t exist.
