i was messing around with firefox's "about:config" because i was trying to do that hack thingy that ppl are talking about instead of faster fox and i think i may have messed something up. Is there anyway i can get only that back to normal? Without having to reinstall? I have more than one user on my comp because this is a family comp. thanks

Well, you have a few options. Option number one, if you are using Windows XP you can use system restore to return your computer to a period before the changings. Unfortunately, it will affect all accounts on the computer. Options number two, create a new Firefox profile. 2. there should only be one profile "Default."
3. click [New] to create a new profile and give it a name > [Enter] > click [Start]
4. this new profile has all the default settings but you have to install all the extensions and bookmarks again.

Important, in the future backup your profile before making any changes to the configuration. I recommend you use MozBackup (http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/)

Publisher's Description:

The easiest way I know is to uninstall and reinstall ff. backup your preferences folder so you will be able to import all your bookmarks and such when you reinstall.
