It’s good to see religion being banned from public schools, a step that certainly protects our children from a potentially very dangerous and damaging belief system.

Should we promote this trend and push for further bans on religious education and religious meetings being held in public places, television, churches and such like. I bit like having bans on smoking in various places because smoking is damaging to your health. Religion is really no different in this regard, except that is more damaging.

I went to visit my grandmother who lives up north. My uncle and I drove up there and I have never met her in my life. Well for dinner we all went to Applebees and she was paying, and she said that you all can have anything you want, so I ordered this steak and shrimp dinner that looked delicious. It was a small steak, but still a steak. My uncle ordered a hamburger and my great uncle ordered chicken finger basket. My uncle said that I disrespected her by ordering the steak dinner. Do you think that I was wrong for ordering or do you think I was ok since I really liked it?

We have been together for nearly a year. We have been good friends for 3 years. The last time he had a steady girlfriend was 11 years ago. He doesn't want kids. That's fine because I have 2 teenagers. But I want to be married or in a serious, commited relationship (with him, of course). So, do I just deal with it and have fun until he changes his mind or I get tired of the situation? Also, if he doesn't make some sort of a commitment, I want to move closer to my family (several states away). When I tell him this he just says that I should do what I feel is right for me. It would be nice if he'd say,"No. Don't go."

. For me and for many Atheists I know, the realization of our Atheism has been extremely freeing and has opened us to our own happiness.
Atheism helps us to see reality as it actually is, without the mental filters of superstition preventing us from directly experiencing it.
Atheism opens us to experience our selves, without the debasing idea that we are innately sinful.
Atheism allows us to experience true interpersonal love, without any imaginary supernatural intervention.
Atheism gives us the freedom to think for ourselves, to construct our own meanings. We each can choose what we think has value.
Atheism shows us that we can gain meaning by seeking to make our world a better place, for ourselves and our posterity.
Atheism teaches us to take responsibility for our behaviors in the here and now, not in an imaginary afterlife.
Atheism lets us see that we have to make choices about our future. No big daddy god is going to protect us from bad decisions.
Atheism teaches us to treasure this moment, this life, and this world — because we realize that it’s all we have.
Atheism also can work well for free societies. Free nations with high levels of Atheism — such as Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, Switzerland and Japan — are among the healthiest, wealthiest, most educated, and most free societies on Earth.

If you pay for sex is this still frowned upon in todays society as does this service provide any other uses apart from the obvious, does it stop a percentage of men who would other wise hurt abuse or rape others or does it glorify the issue of women are only sex objects & what about the women themselves should they be stigmatized just because they are doing this or because this is the only way they can earn money because they are people too with feelings?

1) New York City has 11 letters

2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.

3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.

4) George W Bush has 11 letters.

5) The two twin towers make an "11"

This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:

1) New York is the 11th state.

2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number

11.

3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11

4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers.

6+5 = 11

5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11

6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911.

9 + 1 + 1 = 11.

Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind:
1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. >2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year.

Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.

4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers

incident.

Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind:
Now this is where things get totally eerie:

The most recognised symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic

holy book:

"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."

That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

Still uncovinced about all of this..?! Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end:

Open Microsoft Word and do the followingTRY THIS FOR REAL)

1. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first

plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.

2. Highlight the Q33 NY.

3. Change the font size to 48.

4. Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS 1

scary huh??

It is not the G.F.I. or the circuit-breaker, just the re-set button, it will run for days without problem and then trip occasionally for a day or 2 and then work fine again.

I am thirteen, and just had my braces off, and my orthadontist has told us that my wisdom teeth are coming in crooked and will push the rest of my teeth forward and make them crooked again if I don't remove them. He wants them out as soon as possible... I am very worried, my mother had hers out in college and I've read that most people have them removed at ages 17-24. Do they put you to sleep? Or numb you? Can anything wrong happen if you are put to sleep?

Is lupus a slow progression or does it rapidly develop? I think I may have lupus. After researching, I've come to realize that I have several of the symptoms, some I've had for years and others developed recently.I'm 25 Symptoms are: Knee pains; started in my early teens, had x-rays but they showed nothing. In the past few years they've started giving out and tingling like they're going to sleep. Next: migraines; started in my later teens, Dr. said they were stress related. I'm tired alot, I get the recommended 7-8 hrs of sleep most nights but I'm still tired. Then there is depression/anxiety:Started having mild anxiety attacks and mild depression in my late teens, again Dr. said it was stress. I also have been getting knots on my legs when I stand for more than 10-20 mins. The knots don't hurt. This spring I was out in the sun and developed a rash on my exposed skin.First it felt like razor burn, then it became itchy.Never happened before. None on my face however.Normal signs of lupus?
