Hangovers are primarily caused by dehydration. If you didn't not have enough H2O in your system prior to going to bed, that can cause a sever hangover with just a small amout of alchol.

You had a hangover, because alcohol dehydrates your body, so if all you had was a little wine, you were already pretty dehydrated to begin with. Next time you drink, make sure you drink plenty of fluids, either before, during (as in water) or after and you won't get a hang over.

I used to never get hangovers, until the time I mixed a bunch of liquors in one night (mixed drinks, jager bombs, shots of jack daniels...that was a bad night and morning). It is most likely the mix of liquors that intensified your hangover, along with the fact that you drank A LOT. Drink lots of water, and try to sleep it off, that always works for me. My trick is always to eat something ridiculously greasy the next day, like a big Denny's or IHOP breakfast, or a burrito. Anyway, hope I was able to help. :-) Hope you feel better soon and you have learned your lesson not to mix liquors!

You must not drink a lot. Or because you didn't have much food in you to absorb the alcohol.
There could be other reasons(being tired helps the alcohol make a greater effect).

Because you drank a glass of wine-obviously! You don't have to drink a lot or feel drunk to get the symptoms the next day.

I drink so little and I have anemia, one glass of any alcohol affects me quick, always have. Maybe it's just exhaustion or you didn't eat enough to absorb the alcohol.

What are you saying? That I put a roofie in your drink last night then had wild and savage sex with you - and then tucked you into bed! Is that what you are saying? Cause it's . . . . . . . . . !

Because your blood sugar is really low. Hangover's are basically low blood sugar.
