Would a Jehovah's Witness trust the translation of their Bible to someone who didn't know Greek or Hebrew and only had a high school education?

This is an important question to ask a Jehovah's Witness because they do, in fact, do just that. The Watchtower Society has always resisted efforts to identify members of the translation committee for the New World Translation. There is good reason for their secrecy. The translation committee is now known to be a group of five men with no credentials that would in any way make them qualified to translate the Bible from the original texts. Four of the five men in the committee had no Hebrew or Greek training whatsoever and had only a high school education. The fifth member of the translation team claimed to know Hebrew and Greek. However, while being examined under oath in a court of law in Edinburgh Scotland, he was found to fail a simple Hebrew test. The truth is the translation of the New World Translation used by Jehovah's Witnesses was translated without any ability to read the original texts.

My wife usually wears a black knee length pencil skirt to work every day with black low heeled shoes (closed toe). During the summer she goes bare legged, but during the winter its either natural (or clear as she calls them) or trousers. When it is v cold she wears black tights under her trousers. Ive asked her why she only sticks to bare or clear, and it is because she thinks black tights look silly with black skirt and shoes? What are your thoughts?

I submitted a floorcovering proposal to a customer last Friday. The customer came in and signed the proposal and put down a 50% deposit, to get everything ordered. Now, I noticed that on one line of the contract, the name of the product is there but the price never carried over (the proposal was done on the computer). So, now there is about $1500.00 of material that was never paid for on a $4800.00 order. This is clearly my mistake for not catching this before I presented it to the customer. The store cannot absorb this much of a difference. I don't expect the customer to be thrilled that this happened, but I am hoping she will be understanding. I am just trying to put myself in her shoes to see what I would accept as a reasonable solution to an honest mistake.

I remember as a kid, many years ago, lookin at the faces of people in my catholic church and they all looked like they rather be cuttin their arms off with a saw. If you are in the house of your all-loving god, shouldnt you have a huge smile on your face? It looks like 'Night of the Living Dead' I never felt so depressed in my life then when i was in church. If you feel so strong about something shouldnt you be able to show some emotion or is the brainwashing that deep?
