Or we could fix the problems of our own country. We should get our own problems fixed before trying to help other countries. Plus there really shouldn't be an illegal immigration issue.

A very interesting hypothetical question as it could never happen, it wouldn't be PC, and the war on terrorism is the paramount issue today.
Having said that if our civilization is going to survive, we need to start working towards a one world government, and stop all the insane fighting of nationalism and religion.
Europe has the EU now, we could have the NAU with Canada and Mexico, Asia and Africa could do the same and over generations all the prejudices would fade away. But it wont happen over night, We have made a lot of progress in the USA with laws, but still have a long way to go 2 generations after the laws were passed.
Again an interesting hypothetical question and we will never have a chance to see it, we are going to either nuke each other out, or develop some bio-chem weapon that will have the same effect.

Well even though I am not American, I am Canadian, I would suspect there would be no more issues with that problem. It is out of hand right now because they are lacking all of the things you have mentioned in their homeland. The problem is your government will never allow those things to happen because they want the power over Mexico.

no profit for the U.S., not really anyway... so that would never happen. plus, they have no right unless mexico approved. they're not communist, so they can't just really barge in. immigration actually helps economy a bit if you read about economy, you know... and not from the newspaper. Look in books and stuff that aren't tainted by yellow journalism.

It's still meddling in another country and nothing good will come from it.

Can you think of even one country where we just jumped in and messed everything up for no reason, where the overall result was positive?

Another bad move. Who are we to think we can go ANYWHERE to do whatever we want?! My motto for our nation that is starving for good leadership and a moral compass: Leave and let live!
