It would be a fitting way for Zidane to go out of football by winning the world cup, so yes I agree.

No it will not. France will go home before the finals. I love Zidane - I think he is a great footballer, but sorry do not have the same sentiments for the French team. The reason that I do not have the same sentiments is the arrogance of French people and how rude they are. I have been to France three times, in fact my brother lived there for three years. None of us ever had any good experiences there. The people refuse to show you where the bathroom,. just because of their inferiority complex and being too proud to speak English. Although they sure the hell know what we are talking about. I do have some French friends, and they even agree with my feelings. I am not saying all the French are the same by any means, but a majority has this attitude and that is one reason they are cheered against instead of for, by people from other countries. I am not Brazilian and not being a sore loser. I am Italian and if we both make it there, will pray that we crush you of course.

Given the result of yesterday's games, I think France have every opportunity to add a second star to their shirts. Zidane is playing so well, cannot belive A) he is retiring B) he is 34. Gives Gary Neville every chance of playing in 2008 & 2010.

I would love for Zidane to go all the way, he is such a class act. Italy v France would be the final for me.

I'm a huge Real Madrid, and Santiago Bernabeu will look a bit different without Zizou next year...
I would have wanted Spain to make it to the Final, but as we were eliminated, I can only wish good luck to France.
Zidane is an amazing player and this will be the best way to end his glorious career!

(btw, despite my sorrow, I couldn't help not cheering when he scored France's 3rd goal against us...)

no...germany has this one in the bag..klose is insane on offense and the german defense is better than anticipated. Argentina was a solid team...evenly matched. Look for france in the final, maybe, but they won't win.
