Until Global Warning about Global Warming is big enough, then there won't be enough warning about the warming and people will just ignore the warnings and the warming.

So do you think that the solution about Global Warming would be a world wide staunch Global Warning ?

An interesting new report reveals that global energy use could be reduced by 10% through a global switch to energy efficient light bulbs and lighting systems. Lighting is a major source of electricity consumption accounting for 19% of the world's use of electricity. There is a growing movement to Ban the Bulb - the phasing out and replacement of still widely used traditional incandescent light bulbs which are 100 years old and grotesquely energy inefficient. Newer compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) (search) cost more initially, but are 2/3 more efficient and in the long term save money, energy and the environment. As government's mandate a widespread change and subsidize these new light bulbs, economies of scale will further drive down the upfront costs for new CFLs

So could we take the initiative to spread the word around?????

The issue of global warming can be resolved more by an ecological move rather than an indutrial move.what i mean is that they both complement each other, and so, the invention of hydrogen powered cars or water powered cars or any vehicle would represent a fruitful move towards enhancing the industrial world.

International organisations as well as individuals should paly their part in conserving the ecology by protecting animal species and planting trees.
Therefore, the onus is on everyone to help maintain the ecological balance, and moreover, make a good use of the natural resources available to us, and not continue exploiting nature through the process to find renewable source of energy. .

Reading the answers already posted, all I can think is that a number of people are making light of the problem and I'm not sure if they are doing that to be cute or if, like a number of people I've met, they just don't realise the magnitude of the problem. In Canada you can actually buy a home windmill for under $800.00 online from Canadian Tire. It's actually pretty small and can be used on the top of a house in a major city. No farm required!!! Using that to power up those compact fluourescent light bulbs can only help. I think the way to get people to be more environmentally friendly is to make it financially attractive to them. Manitoba Hydro offers a number of programmes to help people make their homes more environmentally friendly and receive financial incentives as well.

short answer. are man made items are not affecting global warming. the earth goes through cycles of ice ages. 10,000 years we are in the warm temp, after that it is cold again. americans are spending an excess of money to buy goods that don't affect anything.

they say if global warming ever happens, all the water in the ocean will only rise 20 feet, and thats if all the icea melts. so if your 50 feet above sea level, you should be ok.

topic of global warming has been discussed so much here at yahoo answer.but i will like to go in detail.there is steady balance between sun incoming energy and energy radiated by earth to space.but when this balance is disturbed, its has lot of effect such as on food production, floods, rise in ocean level etc.sun light has range of wavelengths(300nm to 5000nm) when it reaches on earth, earth does not absorb much and it radiates much of it back on space but earth will radiate the energy having large wavelength so infra red cannot move so freely because of not larger wavelength when it radiated back these infra red are captured by water vapours and carbon dioxide and radiations are trapped and atmosphere is heated up resulting change in temperature of atmosphere.but carbon emission and production is being increased by human beings continuously.i think that major reason for global warming is due to greed in energy, greed for wealth, one of the reason is deforestration, forest are being cut and when these trees rot or burned they emit carbon dioxide .les take an example in brazil amazon rain forest covered once 3 million square miles but now its 25% to 30% is being devastaed and other 20% is seriously disturbed.i have seen many people writing that they donot worry much about global warming but you can see that i cause rise in sea level panel on climate stated that ocean level can rise to 65cm and i think that tsunami, hurricane, fllos those have taken place are due to global warming which we are collectively ading to world.lets suppose that before industrial revolution carbon concentration was 280-90ppm and in now it is 340ppm.if burning of fossil fuel continues climatoligist think that carbon dioxide concentration will be doubled and temperature of our planet will rise to 2-3C.as you talked bout solution,it is difficult for individual i mean that from 100 if 1 person take care of environment and prevents his contribution to global warming,it will not effect on global warming.we should rather must think collectively as nation, for this we will have to leave luxries we r enjoying which is not for anybody suppose i cannot leave luxries and facilities i have.i cannot go to college by bicycle, public transport or by foot i will definitely use car.and surely add to global warming.there is too hot in pakistan,i will have to switch on AC or cooler to make myself comfortable and easy and surely i will add up to global warming.many industrial nations like usa, china, japan cannot leave use of fossil fuel and there are many example.i have seen one practical steps avoiding increase in global temperature that is debt-swap scheme which is aimed protecting rain forest because poor countries are cutting down forest to repay foreign and are desperately in need of revenue they will get for timber.in debt-swap rich countries agree to cancel a debt for poor country if that country will agree conserve a certain area of forest in exchange.many poor countries such as cameroon, madagascar, costa rica and boliva has taken benfit from this scheme.hope so it will expand further more.i think we will have to think collectively and as nation to make this planet beautiful and happy one
