A bat is mammilian, while a bird is, well, a bird and not a mammal. What makes bats mammals is the fact that they don't lay eggs and give birth to live young. Birds lay eggs and, while in the eggs, babies are not fully alive at birth. The fact that bats fly does not refer them or relate them to birds. Bats are the only flying mammals...birds are just birds, though.

Bats are mammals - the only true flying mammal. They nurse their young by means of mammary glands. They do not lay eggs as do birds.
