3 recent college graduate girls are planning on moving to DC and we are not very familiar with the area. We were just curious where would be a fun area to live around the downtown area that also would be fairly safe. All help is much appreciated!

I am looking for a short 3-5 day stay. I understand mostly that it is an expensive place to visit because of the cost of living; however, I was wondering if it would be cheaper to fly into Baltimore and get a motel there or any other place. I am just from a low cost of living area and for me this would be an expensive trip. Any help would be great!!!

I need to fly out on Feb. 6th and be back on Feb. 10. This is for the funeral of my grandmother. The funeral itself is on Feb. 7th. So I have a time span to work with, sort of.

Ok so I just recently lost about 25lbs I have more to lose I workout and eat right I am feeling great about life. The other day I started thinking about one of my fat moments I had sometime last year. LOL my cousin and I went to subway restaraunt to get something to eat I couldnt decide whether I wanted a tuna sandwhich or a turkey sandwhich so I bought both with everything including extra mayo. They were both footlong subs too. I told my cousins that one was for my mom so I wouldnt seem like a fat a** but soon as they were gone I swallowed the sandwhich. SO share with me your most greedy moment. BEST ANSWER WILL GET 10 points ofcourse!

I am moving across the country and seriously considering these areas. From what I can gather, they are in NW DC, which is supposedly the safer area. But I've been getting mixed reviews about the neighborhood's safety and whatnot. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello All,
I am a 25 year old female currently living in the DC area. I have lived here mainly all my life and need a change. I would love to find a city where as a female I would feel comfortable and safe, people are genuniely nice and do not care if you are wearing Gucci or Prada, lots of outdoor activities but at the same time a great night life, and a fairly affordable cost of living. really do not have an interest in the north east or mid west.

while on this note: Has anyone just up and left? half of my family is here and the other half in CO. But the thing about moving for me is my mother. I am her baby out of five and it is going to be so hard for her. any motivational words to make sure I actually do it? or any suggestions that would make the move easier? thanks for your time.
