Yeah PG county is becoming very rough but that's usually the area closer to the DC line.BUT Bowie is about 30 min. from DC and is considered to be one of the nicer places in PG county.

I haven't lived in MD for a while now but when I left, Bowie and Prince George's County were awesome places to live. They have rich and diverse culture schemes. There are great eateries, decor, neighborhoods, and modern conveniences. All you could ask for. As for education and schools, I couldn't tell you but that info is available on an on-line neighborhood search.

Hope this helps.

Bowie is a good town. It's far enough from the district so that it's mostly middle class families. Can be a bit hectic when the Redskins are playing at home.
