Is there a bridge, or would it be to far to walk?
Or is there another way than to take the metro?

I'm flying to DC in the next couple of weeks, but Dulles Airport is not that close to downtown Washington. I'll arrive on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening and leave either Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

I've been here for 2 years. 1 in Fairfax and 1 in Arlington. It seems to just wear you down little by little until there's nothing left. I find that apartments are so expensive that I can barely afford to do anything else. My car insurance went way up when I moved here. Everything is so crammed in together that I feel like a sardine in a can. If you want to move further out and still work in the city, you have to deal with unreasonable commute hours. The traffic sucks and you get stuck when you try to go anywhere. Half the roads here don't even have turn lanes so you end up getting stuck behind someone turning. Not to mention there always seems to be an angry, unfriendly atmosphere in the city. People are so aggressive and generally stuck in the routine of driving 2 hours to get to work. I guess I would be angry too if I had to drive that long every day. It's hard to find any good reasons to stay here. Any suggestions?

and I'm wondering if any of the motels in the area have shuttle busses to get back and forth with instead of having to drive all around town.
Does anyone know? She'd adore seeing the panda's at the zoo.
Or are there tour busses that go around town?

For a field trip, my grade is going to Washington DC for a couple of days. Any ideas on what we should do during our free time in the hotel? We are going to have a lot of it.

We will be visiting Annapolis after Easter, and wanted some ideas about things to do and see. The cheaper, the better! Places to walk or bike would be on the top of our list.

We will be there Sunday thru Monday mainly to visit the Holocaust museum. Does anyone know of anything fun to do Sunday evening in D.C.?

I live in the D.C. metro area and want to go somewhere this weekend that is NO MORE THAN 4+- HOURS AWAY.

I've been to NYC, Williamsberg, and Richmond recently. Boston and Charlottesville would be too far a drive for us.

Where else could I go for a quiet, relaxing, and fun family weekend?

I'm going to be in Washington DC for a few nights (Wed-Sun) and don't know where the good gay bars are. Where should I go, and on which nights? Also, are they easy to find from the Metro stops?
