I am relocating to Seattle for work. I will be working out of my house and traveling throughout the Seattle area, so I do not need to live anywhere specific. My first reaction is to live downtown. I want to be near the night life, restaurants, etc., and also in a safe area. I'd prefer not to live too far from the water either.

I need a 1 BR + den or 2BR apartment, and cannot pay over $1500/month. I need help on figuring out where to live.

Do you have any suggestions? Please detail out why you are suggesting a certain neighborhood rather than just telling me "Belltown" or whatever.

I'm goin to spend Sept 16-28th in Renton, WA for some work training. Anybody have any suggestions on things to do/places to go? She is absolutely amazing. No, this isn't a stalker. I just lost her # and I don't know how else to find her. She is petite and beautiful. She has a very funny way of swearing too; she says "Oh Mylanta". We played Cards at Slots-O-Fun and she tore a nail before we left.

I currently am in the point in my life where I have to choose where to go to school. I have heard good things about the University of Washiongton Seattle and would like to know if its a good school to go to. I know next to nothingabout Seattle though besides the whole "it rains a lot". I want to know more about it by hearing it from people who acutally live in or ahve been to Seattle. My four friends and I are roommates in Northern California. We're tired of the intense heat and extremely high cost of living. I've always been drawn toward the Pacific Northwest, and I have lots of family in the Seattle area. We'd like to move to the Seattle area within the next 18 months. But we have no idea where, specifically, we should move. We'd like to be no more than 35 mins from the beach and downtown Seattle, on the eastern part of the Sound, so we don't have to take a ferry, where we could get a nice, 4 bedroom house in a low-crime area for less than $1650 a month. We don't know which neighborhoods are nice, and which aren't. We'd also like to be in an area that doesn't have an obscene commute to most jobs. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!
