I have heard of two zoos in/near Seattle: Woodland Park Zoo and Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. I'd like to visit a zoo over the weekend, but I don't know which is better. (I've never been to either.) Which is larger? has more animals? better exhibits? Any other information? Thanks!

My friend and I are planning to move to Seattle from Los Angeles, but now my friend is having second thoughts. What are some compelling arguments for us to make the move? Also, we don't have any jobs lined up, just want to get away from all of the smog down here.

I've been to Popeyes, Ezells, and the Wellington. All had very good fried chicken in my taste, and were good in taste and value (especially Popeyes and Ezells). I was told by some that Kingfish by far has the best fried chicken in the Seattle area. I haven't been there, anyone else agree...any other suggested places I should try?

I'm heading out to Seattle for a week in early April, staying in the Queen Anne neighborhood. I've already got some touristy things to do during the day (*1) and some restaurants to check out (*2).

What I'm looking for is a little something that I can't find in Fodors or Lonely Planet. Things like a great micro brew-pub that features your favorite stout/ porter, or that restaurant with live piano.

Thanks!

I live in Portland Oregon and I find the job market in Seattle mostly to involve the big Fortune 500 companies there - are there good smaller companies hiring? I work in the marketing research and analysis field.

My company is going to send me on a business trip. There is some inconvenience with the company's credit card so they will give me like a thousand dollars cash to pay for the entire week I am planning to stay at the Crown Plaza. Will the hotel staff become suspicious of me? How common is to pay hotel rooms in cash nowadays?

I have not been to Seattle for the clubbin' scene yet and I am putting together a Bachorlette party. I think club Trinity and Club Heaven might be the places we will go. But I want to get a couple of hotel rooms so no one is driving drunk. The only I found that is around $150 and under and nice is Hotel Manaco and Best Western. Anyone stay there before? How was it? Suites nice to have Bachorlette party for about 15?

I am planning on a 2nd Bachorlette party for a friend, whos 1st done by another friend, sucked. I can not think of the name that does the "Naughty" style cakes in Seattle. So I need a little help on a store that does those cakes at a reasonable price and a store like that. If anyone knows of places between Olympia and N. Seattle would be great. Thank you in advance!
