My Father in law is visiting, and we can't figure out what to do for a few hours. He's been several times before, so we don't want to do the typical seattle tourist stuff. Any ideas?

1. Is there a way to get from the Space Needle to Bainbridge Island by road? I checked maps and it looks like the shortest route is about 50-70 miles long. I know you can take the Seattle-Bainbridge Fry by ferry, but I don't know if you can drive. The route I saw starts from Tacoma and goes over the bridge and then hooks up to Route 3.

2. How early/late do the commuter ferries run?

i have been offered a job in Bellevue and need to find a good area to live. I have 4 kids, so schools and lack of crime are important. We are on a tight budget and would have a max of 325k to spend on a house. Any advice? It would be nice to keep the commute under and hour if possible, but I hear Bellingham is a really nice place with great schools. Mapquest shows 1.5 hour drive time from Bellingham. Is that right? Thanks for any advice.

I'm looking for somewhere to live in Washington that would be equal time-wise to Olympia and Seattle. I know Tacoma is pretty much in the middle of the two, but that a lot more traffic heads into Seattle, so it would take a lot more time. Any suggestions?

Is the weather in Seattle really as bad as people say it is? Is there anything that offsets the bad weather and makes it worth living there?

Go to Windows Live Search, put in Wheeler, WA and switch to Aerial view.
Zoom in....
What are those grass circles? They look like radar screens or something. This is really freaking me out. Can someone from Washington tell me what these are? Or anyone seen these?

Monterrey North, Norcal is night and day different from Socal climate wise, geographicaly, culturally etc... example the bay area is more like the puget sound area than LA. I have also noticed that this time of year San Fran and Seattle have almost identical climates.

A friend and I are going to Seattle for a day, any suggestions? We are interested in folk art, Asian, and Native American culture. Not really into night life, bars, clubs, etc. We plan to visit Chinatown, Pike's Place, and the Asian museum. Anyone familiar with Seattle have any additional suggestions? Thanks --
