I may go to grad school in Seattle at the University of Washington. I'm researching rent prices and such on sites such as apartments.com and the cheapest areas I've found to live in are Everett, Mukilteo, Lynwood, etc. Are these safe areas not too far from the University? Any input on these areas or suggestions of other areas would be greatly appreciated. I know Seattle itself is of course on the pricey side so I'm looking into surrounding areas. Thanx!

I'm moving soon and I want to scope out the city ahead of time...I've got 5 DAYS...Where should I go, what should I do? I'm looking to live in the University District, so I'm looking for things around that area as well as tourist-y (yeah, uh-huh, that's a word! :) stuff. Tell me anything. Cheap hotels, breath-taking sites, delicious eats, I'm all ears. Or eyes, 'cause it's a posting! haha. I would like information on romantic things to do as well, because me + my boyfriend + 5-day trip = getaway! I need your help because searching the net like roaming aimlessly in the wild west! RECOMMENDATIONS ARE AWESOME. Oh yeah. I'm on a bugdet, so less is more! Thanks much, XOXO!

1. I'm moving to Seattle this summer, and will probably stay there for at least 2 years.

2. I've been living in Manhattan my whole life, so I haven't driven much and would prefer not to. Would I be able to get around town without too much trouble on weekends?

3. I'll be working in Redmond, are there buses that I can take to commute to work?

any input would be much appreicated!!

Im looking for a condo in puyallup, wa because my husband is being stationed in Fort lewis. I found one on 186th St. E its 2br 1ba 1200sq ft no garage or yard. They are wanting 930 for rent I wonder if this is normal for the area or if its overpriced. It is very nice but i keep feeling it is over priced and I really want something with a yard. Wondering if anyone in the area has any idea or a name of condos or townhomes in the area?

My husband and I are planning to move there in late August this year. I am hoping to get a job either at the hospital in Everett or at one in Seattle. My husband can transfer in his job either to Lynnwood or Everett. We do have a large dog and a cat so it would need to allow animals. thanks

I'm a single, 24-year-old male extremely interested in the arts, running, reading, meeting new people, etc.

I've read that Seattle is basically comprised of seven hills, and I was just curious which hill/area would best suit my interests.

Thanks.

In a couple of months, I'll be moving from Los Angeles to Seattle. One of my biggest gripes about L.A. is the insane amount of traffic, and basically being unable to go anywhere between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Am I going to run into the same problem in Seattle?

My family may need to move to Seattle some time in the future. I was interested in Lakewood but I do not know much about that town. So I have a few questions to ask.

Is Lakewood very isolated or are you near major towns?
How are the schools there?
Is it a pretty safe neighborhood?

We are relocating to the western Washington area and have small children. We have flexibility about where we can live, but my husband is in sales and on the road, so we do need to have access to the airport & freeway. We don't want to spend a fortune on Seattle real estate. We've considered looking in an area like Puyallup, but I've never even been to Washington and feel like I'm taking a shot in the dark. Which areas are considered desirable for families? I'd love to hear opinions and details about Washington!
