I am from Omaha and I am thinking about moving to Seattle. Can anyone give me advice on where the most affordable neighborhood is?

The few neighborhoods that are both affordable and suitable for living are West Seattle, Ballard, Crown Hill, Greenwood, and the U-District.

If might also find a bargain in one of these neighborhoods, but you'd have to act quickly to get the apartment - Green Lake, Fremont, Ravenna, Roosevelt, Wallingford or Eastlake.

I would avoid First Hill, Beacon Hill, South Seattle, Georgetown, Columbia City, and anything near Rainier Ave. (JMO).

As for the downtown area, you can sometimes find reasonable housing in Capital Hill or Belltown, but you have to be careful, because there are some shady areas that you would want to avoid.

Good luck!

I would recommend looking in for a home in Bellevue, or in another suburb of Seattle. I love to go to Seattle on weekends, but living in Bellevue is a plus. You should move to the Seattle area because, there are many fun things to do here, and you can't go more then a block without finding a starbucks, or another coffee shop.

As a born and raised Seattlite, i think of the climate gets a foul rap. valuable we've extremely some cloudy, drizzly days (quite in November and December) yet purely as you start to get unwell of it, there is mostly a great smash interior the climate. In February, there is mostly a week of chilly, sparkling days. Then interior the spring besides. i assume having by no ability lived everywhere else, i do no longer understand what it would desire to be like, besides the indisputable fact that it would not difficulty me. i actual omit the rain interior the summertime. As for moving to Seattle, you will desire to understand that we've a acceptance for no longer being very stable pal makers. all of us circulate from homestead to paintings and lower back lower back. we've our very own acquaintances and could be superficially friendly with new people, yet no longer invite them into our circle. that is referred to as a Nesting subculture.
