Yes! You can use the ferry system to Bremerton where an easy connection to Kitsap Transit can be made to continue to Port Townsend. These services run daily and are very reasonable in cost. Travel time will be about 50 minutes on the farry and about 30 to 40 more on the bus. Good Luck!

Yes, but it will take some time and you will probably have to spend the night in Port Townsend or you won't have much time to spend there. Total time for the trip one way will be about 4 hours.

First you need to get from Seattle to Mukilteo. You can go directly on the Community Transit 417 or you can make some transfers to the 880 or 112/113. The 417 and 880 are commuter routes with limited times but the 112/113 runs pretty regular.

Alternately you have several more options to get to Everett Station. Amtrack, Sounder Train, Sound Transit, Community Transit all have routes from Seattle to Everett. Once at Everett Station you can take the Everett Transit 23 directly to Mukilteo. The 23 runs ever half hour.

At Mukilteo you hop the Washington State ferry to Clinton. The ferry runs every half hour. The 23 gets you to the ferry dock with about 2 minutes before the boat leaves so if you haven't purchased your ticket ahead of time there is a good chance you will miss the next sailing. If you do miss the boat be sure to go into the Diamond Knot Brewery across the street say hi to Andy, one of the owners, and have an IPA.

At the dock in Clinton you will find Island Transit waiting for you. Don't doddle around or you will miss the bus. Jump on the Route 1 and enjoy the free ride up the island. At Coupeville you will have to transfer to the Route 6 except on Saturday when the Route 1 stops at the Keystone ferry dock. The Island Transit Routes run about hourly. Tell the driver that you want to transfer to the Route 6 and they will make an effort to wait for you if they are running a few minutes late.

Right next to the Keystone ferry dock is Fort Casey which is well worth the time to explore. If you go to Fort Casey don't miss the Admiralty Head Lighthouse. When you are ready to go take the Washington State ferry from Keystone to Port Townsend. The boat runs about every 1.5 hours. Be aware the Keystone ferry run is subject to cancellations for severe tides as well as fog and wind.

The return trip works the same way.

The Community Transit fare from Seattle to Everett or Mukilteo is $3 each way, the 23 is 50 cents each way. Everett Transit does not accept transfers anymore. The Mukilteo/Clinton ferry is $3.85 round trip. Island Transit is free. Keystone/Port Townsend ferry is $2.50 each way.

Road Dog is correct, but you could also take a bus up to the Edmonds-Kingston ferry and take a bus from Kingston to Port Townsend. It's far more than 30 minutes from Bremerton to Port Townsend, more like 90 minutes, but it's not too bad. You can also take the Mukilteo Ferry over to Clinton (on Whidbey Island) and then take the bus from Clinto to the ferry at Fort something or other and that drops you in Port Townsend. It's beautiful. So there are three options: Seattle to Bremerton & Bus, Seattle to Edmonds bus, Ferry to Kingston, bus to Port Townsend, Bus to Mukilteo, Ferry to Clinton, Bus to Fort...?, and Ferry to Port Townsend... Then once in Port Townsend you could take another route back... That might be fun. Enjoy. This area is gorgeous!

You might want to try the ferry system. I don't think there is one straight from Seattle to Port Townsend. But check out this website!
