I will be trasnfering to Renton for work in the next few months and am looking to find a nice apartment in a safe neighboorhood. I will be working in Renton but will travel to Seattle frequently (Downtown and the University Area) so I am hoping to find something with easy access to both, preferably close to a busline that runs between Renton and Seattle. Does anyone know of any nice aparment communities that are'nt too outrageously priced.

Am watching Sleepless in Seattle and one of the lines Tom Hanks gives is that it rains nine months of the year in Seattle, and I was intrigued if it was true.

Are there a lot of parks and beaches for dogs? Do you see people walking dogs a lot in the area? It doesn't necessarily need to be in Seattle, but areas within 30 or so miles. Thanks!

I live in Colorado. Here, as far as natural disasters go we have: Snowstorms, Tornadoes, Rockslides and Avalanches, sometimes fire hazards due to the dry climate. In very specific parts, and with specific weather happening you might see flash flooding.

I'm investigating relocating to the Seattle area (read: not specifically IN Seattle, but probably a 'burb north or east of the city). What kinds of natural disasters are fairly common to Seattle, and Washington state in general?

Thanks!

We are thinking about relocating to the Seattle area, and are looking for a quiet, residential neighborhood. We also have to consider an elementary school for our daughter. Which towns do you recommend?

I would like to know what it is like to live in Seattle. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I'm considering a move to Seattle. I've been to the city and really like it but I don't know what it is like to live there. Some of the things I have questions about are:

1) Is housing or rent expensive in Seattle?

2) Are there a lot of jobs in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry in the Seattle area?

3) How is the quality of life in Seattle compared to San Francisco or Los Angeles (crime, schools, weather, ect)?

4) What is the dating scene like in Seattle?

Any feedback from people who live or lived in Seattle would be great!!

I currently live in the state of Michigan, but i'm about to make the jump from here to Seattle, WA (Bremerton, actually). I just want to know what the state of Washington has to offer me. I got an offer from this company called TeleTech to stop in for an assessment when i hit the area so that's a good thing. I'm tired of the rat race in Detroit. Everyone is doing the same thing as everybody else (looking for a good-paying job) and i know i got so much to give and to offer. (the economy sucks). So if there is anyone who lives in Washington, can you tell me about the night spots, coffee spots, tourist attractions any GREAT HIGH-PAYING JOBS, in Washington. I have three college degrees (two Business, one Science) and little experience. What is the Real Estate Market like there? Any good tips on living in Washington?

I am planning a road trip from Sacramento to Vancouver, BC. I will be going with my parents, yet at night I want to experience the gay clubs in Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. What clubs and areas of the city should I go too? I have never been to the Pacific Northwest and want to experience different people and new things. More than likely I will be going in May. I am a 29 year old Latin male here.. not too bad looking. :) Lived in LA, SF, and Miami - and just want to experience how gay life is in the Northwest. I might consider a move if I feel a connection with the Northwest. Thanks !
