We would be there for a little over a week...since we have a little baby we can't do too many things... Any ideas?

if you dont mind carrying baby, you could do the tour of the seattle underground. a 45 min walk under the city ( about a city block underground) its quite interesting. apparenlty there was a massive mudslide many many years ago and the ppl never dug out the shops and homes etc, just built right on top of it all.
also- you could check out pike place market ( closes at 5 pm so get there early) and watch theym toss fish at each other and lots of great seafood resteraunts to try...
also you could go online and type in seattle tourism- you will probably get a variety of ideas that way- good luck!

Don't do the Space Needle. It's an overrated building that costs about $10 a person per a ride up the thing.
Next to the Space Needle is the Science Center. There are all sort of scientific displays that holds interest for people of all ages.
There are also beautiful cathedrals you could visit and take pictures. One of great beauty is the Catholic St. James Cathedral. Another Cathedral is the Anglican St. Mark,s. It is less beautiful, but there is some interesting history as to why it looks rather homely, yet has a full house each Sunday.
You could also take a tour of Underground Seattle. When Seattle burned down in 1889, a new city was built right over the old one, leaving Old Seattle a relic of tunnels unseen from today's streets.
There is also the Arboretum, a beautiful garden place on the edge of Lake Washington. A perfect place for walks and picnics.

Take the baby on the ferry to Bainbridge Island and walk the little shops there. Go to the beach. Go to the Aquarium on the pier. Go to the Pike Place Market. Seattle Pacific Science Center. There's more to Seattle than just the stinkin' Space Needle. And just because you have a baby doesn't mean you can't do a whole lot... I did touristy stuff with my kids when the were tiny... we went all over the south.

Pike's place market is fun and the first Starbucks is there. Also, you can take a Ferry ride somewhere which is beautiful and fun if the baby is starting to like water and boats.
There is a monorail that goes into the Seattle Center which has teh Space Needle and the Science Center which, although geared for older kids is a fun place

Check out the Aquarium and the piers, good food and entertainment. The Seattle Center is good (and yeah the Space Needle is there, but there's other stuff!) If you can, I would take a ferry across the water...it's really pretty this time of year. Baseball season is coming up, might want to check out an M's game....there's great shopping and food up on Broadway (Capitol Hill) so make sure to check that out! Have fun!

There are alot of things to do where you can go with a stroller. The Pike Place Market is great; alot of activity. The Seattle Center itself is beatiful and I agree a ferry ride is a must. The Woodland Park Zoo is another fun place. I have lived in this area most of my life and although there are some great places to drive to, if you only have a week, why not just spend it in the Seattle area? Have fun.

Visit the Seattle Center, the new Olympic Sculpture Park, go to the Sunday markets in Fremont and Ballard (neighborhoods just north of the downtown area), visit Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill...the weather should be less rainy by then!

well i have lived in the Seattle area for 15 years and the top 5 things to do are probably to go to the mountains. it's so beautiful with all the snow and ice. if you haven't been on a ferry then you should definitely go. there's also whale watching i don't know if there around this time of year but if they ar it's so exciting. the woodland park zoo would probably be good for your baby. and there ar many cafes and stores along Elliot bay. and there's the pikes place market. you could probably find any foreign object you desire there. well i hope your trip will be a good one.

I think with all the responses, you have a good idea of what there is to do, but the one I am not seeing are the duck tours (located right accross the street from Seattle Center-accross from the EMP). And I agree, this time of year is perfect for a ferry ride, I like Friday Harbor and Orcas Island.
