is it good to live in Auburn? or maybe..Shoreline better? or....?I'm planning to attend Green River Community College in Auburn..s it good..? Is it hard to access the public transportation..?

Be careful in Auburn. Crime is high and the police are slow to respond. The Auburn mall is notorious for car break-ins.
Kent is a little better, but you do need to look closely at the neighborhoods. Different blocks make a lot of difference.
I have heard mixed stories on the Green River College. Good classes but bad office organization.

Although I have not attended Green River it is touted as a very good community college. It is the only community college I have seen throughout the Puget Sound region that has dorms available right across the street. If I had a choice over Auburn or Shoreline I would pick Shoreline because it is further from industry and closer to aquatic hobbies as well as other fun stuff to do in the area. However, the commute from Shoreline to GRCC, although do'able, would be time-consuming.

Born and raised in Auburn! I have to say it has changed over the years with the Casinos, Race Track and Supermall. There are definitely areas that are still good places to live there, preferably east of downtown if you want to stay close to the school. I've also seen that GRCC has put in college apartments, not sure if that's suitable for you? As the other person said Kent is good too, that's where I live now. As long as you're on the east hill of Kent or Lea Hill area of Auburn you'll have an easy commute. Our King County Metro bus line has several routes that run to the college.
