Looking for apartments to rent or condo/townhouse to buy. Want to live in a good area for young singles to meet, but also not too far from Everett or UW.

Hmm, Everett is a bit far from campus. I would think it's better to be close to campus because you may make multiple trips in a day, whereas you only go to work once a day? Plus, you may get a new job that's closer, whereas the campus is not moving, ever. Northgate is a good in-between location with direct drive to campus and close to good social spots. Kenmore and Shoreline are more suburban, but might be good locations for you too.

I agree with the other answers. North Seattle, Shoreline, Lynwood. Everett is generally less expensive to live in than Seattle, but watch the neighborhoods. I am not familiar with them in Everett, but know that the city is growing and there are some nice condos available.

You probably want to get something in the middle of the two places. Edmonds and Shoreline are good and in the middle, but have some not so nice spots. Lynwood would be another option since that area is a little nicer.
