I will be trasnfering to Renton for work in the next few months and am looking to find a nice apartment in a safe neighboorhood. I will be working in Renton but will travel to Seattle frequently (Downtown and the University Area) so I am hoping to find something with easy access to both, preferably close to a busline that runs between Renton and Seattle. Does anyone know of any nice aparment communities that are'nt too outrageously priced.

I lived in Bryn Mawr located between Skyway, Lakeridge, and Renton itself. Easy access to Metro and close to Lake Washington. A very nice neighborhood.

There are some fine neighborhoods in the Benson Hill (Renton) area. There are also some good neighborhoods in the Renton Highlands, but there are also some seedy ones so look around. Many of the neighborhoods in downtown Renton are going rather bad. It's best to stay on the hills or the outskirts.

Stay away from HWY 99 and the Skyway hill. Those are bad areas. Tukwila might be a good option. It is very close to Renton but also has good access to Seattle. Just stay east of I-5. West of I-5 in Tukwila isn't that nice. Also, south and eastern Renton have some nice areas, but you are further from Seattle.

definite, in case you truly favor to ascertain the city, you want to stroll via the older neighborhoods - Georgetown is the classic; Capitol Hill is likewise large (attempt strolling from the Capitol down East Capitol St and then to jap market). on the different component of the river is previous city Alexandria, equipped (like Georgetown) in colonial circumstances. once you're vacationing DC, you truly favor to purchase or borrow a DC guidebook (Lonely Planet, Frommers, Fodors, etc. - take your %.). it will make your holiday plenty nicer and many them have mapped strolling excursions.
