i was looking up hotels to stay at in seattle and one said they had modern linens in all of their rooms.?

it means the room looks new...hip....upbeat. && they are new, not some old crusty linens used thousands of times b4

The style and designs of the linen were modern as opposed to the floral rosey print of yesteryear probably seen on nans quilt cover.

tones of beige , charcoal and chocolate are more commonly used as opposed to colourful patterned prints as this will not date or show its age as much

Possibly a higher thread count or maybe even Egyptian cotton.
