How safe is it there? Does the population include many hispanics or would I feel out of place? Hows the weather? Hows the cost of living? Any info would be helpful!!

Try posting this in the Portland category, as Vancouver, WA. is just across the Columbia River from Portland. You might get more responses.

Here is a weblink that will answer many of your questions ab out demographics and weather:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vancouver,_Washington

from this website, Hispanic population is slightly over 6%, Asian 4.5%, and AfricanAmerican 2.5%.

I lived there for 5 years and now I live in Seattle. Since Vancouver is only a couple of miles from Portland, OR (across the Columbia River) it is the same. Summers are very nice with high temps from 70-90F. Winters are usually mild with lows typically in the 30's but sometimes dropping to the teens. The dry season is June - October.

It is somewhat safe. Safer than Portland but certainly not crime-free.

The cost of living is very close to the cost in Portland, but less than Seattle. Wage scales are pretty good.

Not a lot of Hispanics but they are there along with Asians and blacks. Gangs are not a problem unless you live in some areas in Portland.

Population growth is very fast as more people from Oregon move to Washington to avoid state income taxes (Washington has none). Oregon has no sales tax, so if you live in Vancouver you can take a short drive over the bridge and make your purchases tax-free.

There is no sales tax in Washington on food.
