Im looking for like a job as a guard at a federal building, or inspecting cargo coming in on ships or anything that pays pretty good?

Try Monster.com for tons of online job applying. Go to Seatac (the airport) at the Jobs Room for a lot of different jobs all in one place that you can apply for. Down at the piers, I'm not sure where to apply for jobs, but I'm sure you can ask around to the people down there.

There are several contract security companies with offices near Seattle. Securitas, Allied/Barton and Northwest Protective. I know the latter has positions on the waterfront.

Craigslist has job postings. My husband used to be a manager and hired people off of there. Go to the Seattle/Tacoma part of the craigslist site.
