I am looking for a hotel that has in-room hot tubs, not just a jacuzzi, but a legitimate hot tub. Preferably in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts. I only know of one, Adventure Suites, any others?

Thank you!

I am going by myself for 3 days in december, but i do have some friends out there. So far, im planning on going to the Celtics game and the Patriots game. I will be staying at the Park Plaza downtown, and I was wondering what are some of the cooler things the city has to offer? Besides Newburry St., Fenway, or Beacon Hill. Im 23, into sports and history, so can you guys please help me out? direct me a lil bit? I would rather do some local things than touristy things, thanks guys!

I have a few questions for anyone that has been there or lives there...

1. What's a nice area with bars that we can be comfortable hanging out at late at night??

2. Where can we go to a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary?

3. Where can we get a slice of Boston's best pizza??

4. Are there any "bad areas" that we should know of?

THANKS!! :)

What are some good neighborhoods to live in around Boston?
A friend of mine is thinking of moving somewhere on the East Coast, preferably around Boston with her young family.
Does anyone know of any good neighborhoods with low crime rates and good school districts aound the city of Boston.

We've heard that houses there are less expensive than they are in New York, is that true???

Hello,
I'm thinking of relocating to the Boston are. I'm hoping to rent a two-bedroom apt. for 1300 or less a month. I've seen Craigslist ads for such in Newton, Medford, and Belmont, but I don't know these towns.
Can anyone recommend quiet and safe towns that are within commuting distance of Boston (say 1 hour or less commute time)? Preferably, I'd like something with a cute, walkable downtonwn area.
PS: What is the culture and nightlife in Boston like, for single thirty-somethings? I grew up near NYC, and I've lived in San Francisco, so I'm used to exciting nightlife. I understand that Boston is more lowkey, but I'm wondering if some residents could give me their opinions.

I would really like to live in Somerville or Cambridge, because obviously the Boston area is the best place to meet people, but I'm not sure what my (real) commute would be like... as in, with traffic on 495, not the 35 minute mapquest version!!! Any insight would be VERY welcome!!! Thanks!

My best friend and I are going on our first vacation together to Boston! While we are going to see the historic stuff as I am a history major, we both just turned 21 so we are going to want to go to a few good bars or night clubs. We will be there in June 2008. Any suggestions for hot clubs or great bars to hit?

I am a die-hard Celtics fan from Vancouver. I want to go to Boston for around 4 days early next year to catch a Celtics game, but would also like to see either the Bruins / Patriots / Red Sox....ideally all of them but I realize seasons don't overlap enough..

The problem I am having is finding the 'ideal' weekend to go...I can go from Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday...

Any advice would be appreciated...

We've been to those places already. So what else is there to do? We're staying in Boston for the weekend in January with our 2 boys ages 9 and 4. I know, not the best time of year for a trip but its bc I work for a hotel and they let employees stay anywhere for free but only in Dec & Jan.

I see questions asking for recommendations on where to eat that get generic answers: "North End, South End". I know of many places in both, that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

So to help new visitors/travelers, toss up some recommendations and grab a few points. If you have more than one that is okay. Try to keep it under five suggestions.

Criteria:
• Name of restaurant. (**Required**)
• Where is it? (General Location needs to be Boston or close. Max distance is the 128 belt area. Accessible by T or *very* close to it. City and/or street names encouraged. More credit if you have both. Bus and commuter rail access inside of the belt is also acceptable.)
• Cost/Price Range (Ballpark for an average plate per person. I won't accept "expensive" or "cheap" or anything like that. Cheap to someone who makes 100k/yr usually is not cheap to someone who makes 30k.)
• Type of food. (Seafood, Italian, Chinese, etc..)
• Why? (Keep it brief, but good.)

Best will get 10 points.

I am visiting on Dec 1- Dec 4. I'd like to stay in an area that is a good area for a couple of tourists, crime free, good restaurants nearby, easy access to metro. Any advise? I would like to find a hotel for approx $100-$130 per night.

Am I not remembering correctly or is it incredible that not only are the leaves still on most of the trees, now at the end of October, but most of them are still green!?!?!?!. Even many maples have not yet turned (I was travelling by the Tuft's campus just an hour ago and noticed in the campus along College Avenue that all the maples except for two were still
dark, summery green!)
