Am I not remembering correctly or is it incredible that not only are the leaves still on most of the trees, now at the end of October, but most of them are still green!?!?!?!. Even many maples have not yet turned (I was travelling by the Tuft's campus just an hour ago and noticed in the campus along College Avenue that all the maples except for two were still
dark, summery green!)

We haven't had the warm days and cold nights that usually make for great colors. It's been too warm at night.

Also, driving along Route 24 trees went from green to just falling off. Generally I would tell people it's too late to see nice foliage around Boston this time of year. . .But, I guess it's later than usually this year- if at all!

They said because of the lack of rain over the summer that our foliage season would be delayed, then short-lived. But it does seem strange that so many trees are still green!

This year the foliage is really disappointed, very dull and rustic like, I drive around, only find a very few places wih good color: concord, NH, plattsburgh, NY.
