I am visiting on Dec 1- Dec 4. I'd like to stay in an area that is a good area for a couple of tourists, crime free, good restaurants nearby, easy access to metro. Any advise? I would like to find a hotel for approx $100-$130 per night.

I stayed at the Club Quarters hotel located in the financial district. A couple of blocks away from all of the touristy stuff (Fannueil Hall, Metro, shopping). It was quiet at night and I felt very safe.

You will not get even a closet for $ 100 - $ 130 at the Marriot. You might find something close at the Club Quarters..

There is both a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn Express near Lechmere metro station in East Cambridge. Not much for food just outside their front doors but within walking distance (10mins) of several of the oustanding (and moderately priced)
restaurants of Cambridge's Portuguese speaking area, and also to various good restaurants surrounding (I DO NOT mean the food court inside) the East Cambridge Galleria.

Otherwise try one of the less expensive European-style older rehabbed hotels and B&Bs.
3 suggestions: Shawmut Inn (near North Station),
and the Buckminster and the 463 Beacon (both near Kenmore metro stop).

In Plymouth i've got stayed at a ultimate Western, and it replaced into notably respectable and low fee. as far as for once you're in Boston it fairly is fairly helpful to attempt to stay a sprint exterior the city and take public transportation in to the city, it will keep you particularly some money, and the prepare equipment is great fairly. attempt the Hampton hotel, that's placed in Cambridge. that's in certainty precise around the line from the eco-friendly line of the prepare, which will take you everywhere you are able to desire to bypass downtown in approximately 15 minutes. additionally, it fairly is an exceedingly advantageous lodge in a robust section, and decrease than something downtown. Any kinfolk that bypass to me from out of state have stayed there and been greater advantageous than chuffed universal. additionally that's totally on the ingredient of the Museum of technological know-how that's a would desire to work out. be sure you stroll the liberty path, in spite of the reality that it will be very crowded, you would be taught plenty on the subject of the historical past of u.s., and the innovative conflict, and so on. i'm confident you will like it!
