I work on Wall st and live on E 28th. ive been taking the 6 downtown to canal st then switching to the J. My commute is 50 minutes. it takes about 10 minutes to transfer at canal street because theres tons of stairs and walking to get to the J which isn't good when your in a rush. i thought maybe i should try to take the 6 to 14th st and hop on the 5 because the 6 doesnt go down to wall (and i cant catch the 5 at 28th st). if i get off the 6 at 14th st do i stay at the same platform to catch the 5 or do i have to walk to another platform?

I'm an artist and love to work in Manhattan. However, I got shocked when I was searching to find a nice accommodation there. There is not anything even near to the word "nice accommodation " in Manhattan!
A shoebox in Manhattan is the same price of a big nice 2BR town house in New Jersey. I prefer to get a 2BR TH in New Jersey; but, I am all the time thinking maybe there are some better options as well? and I wanted to ask some people who had the same experience. What is your best idea about it?
Thank you very much
Paris

What are some of the Pros and Cons of living in colorado?!?! I have never been there but am really considering moving there in a year or two. I think it is absolutely beautiful.

I currently live in northern NJ right outside of NYC. I like the area in general b/c of the convenience of having everything so close. However, I really just want a change...the area is so congested and traffic is a pain. I mainly want a more relaxed, outdoorsy atmosphere. Plus, the cost of living here is absurd in NJ!!! I could get a beautiful house in the suburbs of co for the same price as a nj house in ghetto areas.

If anyone knows anything about Louisville, Co...that would be great...based on their website...it seems like a town I would like. Suburb towns would be good if you know of any others....i like the location of Louisville though. I am only 23 and would be moving there on my own without knowing anyone...but I like family-type communities.

We are staying on International Drive but not driving (due to Mum's fear after previous holiday car crash over there.) I want to treat her to this show but need to know how easy it is to get to using public transport. Also is it a safe area to be in when leaving the show? Thanks.

Someone told me about a show they really wanted to see when they were in Vegas, but it was sold out when they were there, however, he doesn't remember the name of the show or where it was held.

It is a hypnosis AND magic show, and the tickets were in the $60 range.

Does anyone know what show it is? I am going to Vegas in a few weeks, and I would like to get my tickets for this show in advance. Thanks.

Why do people always say that. Its as if New York is the only place to "make it" and if you try to make it elsewhere you wont make it unless you make it in New York first.

There are loads of people who have pursued their careers and ventures in other cities and have mega-success.

Why is it that New York is looked at as the "only place to make it", and if you dont make it here you cant make it nowhere else?

I lived in NY all my life. I'm 44 years old and I'm ready to LEAVE this city and start a life elsewhere. Does this mean I'm running away from the challenges in New York or I'm scared and want to try to make it in a city that's EASIER to "make it"? Does this mean I'm giving up in New York and I wont make it elsewhere?

Did you know that if you go down to South Station, you will find donation boxes for servicemen and servicewomen overseas? Also posted are particular items that are especially sought after, such as sunblock, deodorants, playing cards, hard candies, disposable razors, etc. If you have EVER said, 'Yes, I support the troops...', no matter how you ended that sentence, PLEASE go by South Station, and give as much as you can. Will you do this today and tomorrow [Wednesday & Thursday, July 18 & 19]?

I am 30 years old today and I have not seen my father in 16 years. The last place I saw him was in Philadelphia and we had a rocky break.

In 1977 the year I was born my father was in prison and my mom would take me to see him but when she remarried that relationship ended and I did not see him again until I was 13.

My mom does not support my search so I don't have his date of birth or ss# thing that would make it easy this is all the information I have please help.

His name is Angel Nieves a very common name.

He is about 51-52 years old

He is a very handsome Puerto Rican man who I think was born in Puerto Rico but lived in New York.

He has brothers and sisters but I think one of his sisters name is Awilda.

Very important we use to call him Papo and he looks just like Al Pichino in Carlito's Way the movie.

I need to find him I don't want anything from him but to my knowledge I am his only child and I have 3 beautiful children and a wonderful husband and I want

Okay, so I'm going to be going to AKL in August 2008. There will be three adults, three children, and an infant. That means I need either two rooms, or a 1BR suite (or 2BR villa).

Currently, I have a reservation for a pair of rooms on the club level (concierge), as I'm thinking the snacks throughout the day, and option of taking the sunrise safari are pretty cool. However, especially for the kids, I'm really after the savanna view. Unfortunately, on club level, it's not guaranteed. For a difference of $40/night per room extra, I'm wondering if that's a foolish gamble to take.

So... has anyone stayed in a standard club-level room, and been unable to get a savanna view (when you've wanted it, that is, some people prefer pool view)? Also, does anyone know if the 1BR suites have a guaranteed view? As I understand with the 2BR villas on club level, there are 3 savannah view, and 2 pool view, and it's not guaranteed.

Any thoughts on if club level is worth is are also appreciated?
