United States - June 2007

I was recently offered a great career opportunity with my company for the position I've always wanted. These positions generally pop up all over the US. My boss is confident that I'll do good. He recently offered me a position in L.A, that I turned down due to the fact that it was too busy and far from my home. I have lived in Jacksonville, FL my whole life (23 years) and I'm scared to move, even though I know I will eventually have to imove somewhere else f I really want to follow my career path. In fact, the furthest south I've ever been was Dallas, TX. I need help. I have heard a few good things about it, but who really wants to leave FL? haha SO, why is Phoenix, AZ better than Jacksonville, FL? I need both positive and negative feedback. But, I don't want to know anything obvious like "No hurricanes or humidity". Thanks.

I've never done this before, I have a back problem and circulation proble but I have to get to L.A. before the end of next week so I can go back to my doctor that specializes in my condition, plus attend an important event. I was originally going to fly to L.A. but because I don't have a passport yet and can't get one because my BIRTH certificate is in California *funny right, it's a long story, it was a family disagreement that caused me to get stuck in Georgia, they're against me doing music for a living and tried to stop me* I'm going to have to take a bus

says it's going to be 1 day and 22 hours long...I'm also moving so this is going to be tough. How much can i take with me? Can people eat on the bus? Will there be air conditioning because I have trouble tolerating heat. Do they provide any water on the bus or do I have to get my own?
What kind of food can you get at stops offs? I have a special diet and I usually don't do well on junk foods. and Do I have to sleep sitting up?

We want to take an Amtrak from Illinois to Washington. He wants to visit his brother for a couple days then fly from Washington to Alaska to take a cruise. Then when that is done, he wants us to fly back to Illinois.
I dont have a clue about Alaska cruises or airline travel or the state of Washington or train travel. Is this a good vacation or is he sucking me into something I will dislike?

My family is planning a trip to Vegas at the beginning of August. There will be 4 adults, one teen, and one older teen. We are looking for cheap places to stay on the Strip that have theming, and we've narrowed it down to Circus Circus and Excalibur.

Circus circus has all the circus shows for free, plus the Adventuredome that's attached, but Excalibur is closer to the other hotels on the Strip. (we plan on visiting and walking around all the other casinos)

My family will be going to Boston in a few weeks. My 13 year old son is a die hard Yankee fan and wants to wear a few of his Yankee t shirts while we are there. He intends to wear one when we do the tour of Fenway Park and in general when we are in Boston. Should I let him? Is it safe?
