Personally I think it would be very rude if your son wore his Yankee Shirt while touring Fenway Park. However I doubt anything will happen to him and people may actually find it funny. And no one will care if you wear a Yankee shirt around Boston. People have better things to do then worry about a kid's shirt. People are going to respect you whether your a Yankee fan or a Red Sox Fan.
The only Yankee we really hate is Johnny Damon who is a total traitor.

I agree with Lilly it would be RUDE to wear a Yankees cap or shirt while touring Fenway. While just visiting Boston, sure why not no problem. But show some respect and wear anything but an opposing teams shirt or cap to Fenway.
If you were going to a Red Sox vs Yankess game it would be ok, but just for the park tour, I think it would be rude.
This is true of any team or sport.
I certainlly wouldn't wear a Red Sox shirt or cap while visiting Yankee stadium.

My sons and I are diehard Yankees fans whenever we are around Boston we wear our Yankee clothing and never have a problem. Besides, even if anyone there had an issue with our clothing, they can stick it where the sun don't shine. We love the Yankees. Both of my sons have email address that even show their love for the Yankees. And my youngest son has this Yankees t-shirt that is too small for him but he still wears it.
Hey, you better make a pilgrimage to the Yankee's stadium before they start playing in their new stadium at the start of the 2009 season.

He'll be fine. I walk with my friend who is a Yankee fan (and proudly displays it) all the time around Boston (where we go to college). I'm a Sox fan and proudly display that as well. She has been given a hard time (jokingly) by a few people, but nothing threatening.
Let him wear his Yankee gear. You have nothing to worry about. The Yankees, on the other hand, do.

I actually asked my dad and brothers who are diehard Yankee fans and rarely ever miss a game. All conceded they don't think it would be a good idea. Quote from my dad: "There's alot of idiots out there." Not referring to Boston, but same could happen here at the Yankee Stadium with anyone wearing a RedSox t-shirt.

well, I doubt anyone is going to murder a 13 year old, but Boston can be really crazy. I wouldn't advise it. I mean, there's no point in weairng a yankees t shirt in boston. It sends the message: I love yankees. hate me!

There are really some die-hard fans, and though I wouldn't recommend wearing it at Fenway, I wouldn't necessarily say his life is in danger. As for wearing it around town- he'll be the only one, so be prepared for some staring, and maybe a few crude comments.

I wouldnt exactly call it a good idea just in general. Why would one wear a shirt for a different team while touring the stadium of another.
