i have always wanted to go to new york city but as i live ion scotland it is very expensive.I know it would take at least 3 weeks to see the sights and can,t find a really cheap way to do this.

I am moving to Chicago and would like to rent a loft (where the bedroom is upstairs) instead of a regular one bedroom apartment. But I have only found a few searching sites like forrent.com, rent.com etc.

Does anyone actually know a building with lofts in chicago? From knowing someone who lives there etc. It would be greatly appreciated

My family was planning to travel up to Solvang ( it's a Dutch Village with shops, restaurants, etc.) on Sunday, but unfortunately, they are predicting alot of rain all weekend. So, now we're looking for something "rain friendly" to do in So Cal. We live in Riverside County but don't mind driving to L.A, San Diego, etc.

Also, it should be something that takes most of the day, not just "a movie" or something like that. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!
