My original plan was to go down near Great Adventure (in NJ) I would go down there July 3-July 6. The 3rd I would check into a hotel and I was going to go into the NYC or PA for dinner, the 4th was was going to go to the theme park only...the 5th i would go over to Hurrican Harbor. the 6th we would check out of the hotel and go back home. My boyfriend thinks it is too much but I dunno, can you give me some advice.

Here is something I do not understand. We go to Orlando a lot, check in a different hotel each time we go. Part of the adventure of the vacation.

We have been in small motels, and really BIG hotels. Of course the small motels have very modest lobbies. And the really BIG hotels have huge lobbies with high ceilings. But when we get to the room for the night, ALL the rooms look about the same!

So what are we really paying for? The lobby?

PS The places we like to stay in the BEST is any place where you open your room door into an INSIDE hallway. No matter what the price.

We are taking our teenage son to Washington DC in April. I'd like to find a rental condo or "suite" hotel that would allows us to have separate sleeping spaces and a small kitchenette. I prefer in the city and/or Georgetown and under $300/night. Any thoughts?
